I’m often told that but in this case Mercedes are getting into the act too. Here’s their latest Maybach concept which will be revealed at Pebble Beach later this month, never to be seen again.
It’s really, really long, about 6m or about the length of a lwb S class.

Didn’t its predecessor, the Exelero, get used for high speed tire testing in Europe following its time on the show circuit?

It was. It wasn’t a concept as such as I recall but was built for Fulda.

As much as it looks rubbish (1m of rear overhang, really?) I love when manufacturers release what their design
should
look like if it didn’t have the constraints of a road car.
